FRT taps new price segment with Economy Class Measuring Instruments
|
Premiere for confocal microscope MicroSpy® Topo. FRT (Fries Research & Technology), a manufacturer of surface metrology instruments for the investigation of nano- and microstructures, recently introduced a new budget targeted class of surface measurement tools. The so called “Economy Class” stands out for its great value and cost effectiveness.
The MicroSpy® Topo, as the first instrument in this class, offers pure yet powerful confocal microscopy at the economy end of FRT’s product range. The FRT engineers left out extra features such as multi-sensor configurations or part handling and concentrated on one selected measuring principle. This new simplicity is the core statement of the MicroSpy® Topo and all future economy class instruments.
The MicroSpy® Topo comes with a comprehensive software package for the measurement and evaluation of 3D topography, structure, and surface roughness and is a perfect fit for entry-level metrology. The confocal microscope has been designed specifically for easy and intuitive use in R&D and production. The included software allows for fast, precise, and repeatable measurements. Due to its confocal measurement principle the MicroSpy® Topo delivers results with an excellently high resolution ( >=1nm ) within seconds. This makes the instrument interesting for manually operated surface analyses in the field of MEMS, optics, electronics, plastics, paper and many more. The microscope is available with a variety of objectives and comes with a motorized x,y-stage for easy sample positioning.
